Click here to support organics, not GMO!
GMO = bad bad juju
I guess the generic e-mail can be eloquent as well...
I just took action calling on Secretary Vilsack and President Obama to reject the approval of Monsanto's GMO alfalfa and protect the integrity of organics. Approving GMO alfalfa will potentially destroy the integrity of and access to organic food, as well as the livelihoods of organic farmers.
The approval of GMO alfalfa is only days away and the Obama administration needs to hear from you and all of your friends who care about organics. It is outrageous to risk the contamination of the organic dairy industry simply for Monsanto's corporate profits.
Please take a moment to let Vilsack and President Obama know that you care about organic integrity by following this link from Food Democracy Now! Then please pass this on.
I call it Long Slow Distance to get overly symbolic about that particular training maxim applied metaphorically towards life. i.e. the patience, discipline, drive, honesty and Buddha, and yadda yadda yadda

STATE OF THE UNION TOMORROW NIGHT!
and this is what I'm reading.
"Whatever is participated is related to the participator as its act... But participated act of existing is limited by the [receptive] capacity of the participator"
thanks tom..

Knatty Love
So I'm at this Auto Wholesaler in Gresham right... Like, out there. I'm looking at this Subaru, looks nice except the fog lights don't work, no one really knows how many miles it has, etc etc, things I should have known before driving the 45 minutes to get to it. But I digress. I'm looking at it, and this guy comes up, introduces himself. Says he's new to Portland, saw my dreads, saw an opportunity to meet a new friend. Thats it, just wanted to meet someone, and was drawn in by dreads. I guess he assumed that it is a certain type of person that has them, and they typically share similar interests.
Right weezy?

how about them sea chickens???
See Lynch's TD run??? Straight tossin fools.. Still, it seems that NW teams can't get any cred. It was the Saints' mistakes, not the Seahawks offense and skills that won the game... Counting on you Oregon.

Home Sweet Home
After two harrowing plane rides, a long uneventful layover in SLC, I'm back in Portland. Great holiday break though, I will say.
So the flight from Denver to Salt Lake was sooo bumpy {how bumpy was it} they didn't even serve drinks, for the flight attendants safety. Terrifying. I hate flying. I did read the Economist though, it seems like there are a lot of smart people saying similar things, and unfortunately, things don't look too good. Sorry... On the upside, the Trail Blazers won tonight!
Good to be in the 5 0 3
